Hello,

Let me introduce myself. I am Janet Brennick and I am the new president of YOUR Chamber for the year ahead. I am the assistant branch manager at Bangor Savings Bank in Rumford and I have been on the board of directors for the Chamber for the past three years. Born and raised in Mexico, I look forward to serving the area that I live, love and play in. I am open to ideas and would love to hear from you; so please let me know your thoughts and ideas!

As representatives of the Chamber, we take pride in the events that we offer here in the River Valley knowing that they bring us together today to make for a stronger tomorrow. For example, the Chamber and the River Valley Rotary recently joined together to host another exciting 5K race/run on June 23 at Hosmer Field in Rumford.

This is a great example of the River Valley community promoting positive things in the area. The Elite sponsors for this event were Pinetree Cellular, Bangor Savings Bank and The Fitch Company; with Advanced sponsorship from Franklin Savings Bank. And as usual Chisholm Ski Club was on hand to time the race. We are so fortunate to have this great organization in the area, lending support and services to other organizations when necessary. A big “thank you” to Bob Arsenault, Roger Arsenault and the many other volunteers from Chisholm’s Ski Club for your continued support, assistance and commitment to the River Valley community!

It is not too late to join YOUR Chamber. We have wonderful benefits for being a Chamber member and at a very affordable dues fee. If you are not a member and have a business here in the River Valley you are missing out on a great deal of networking, advertising and potential sales through the Chamber. Watch for Peter Perry, Chamber administrator, as he will be out making visits during the summer months so you may see him at your place of business letting you know what we can do for you! Please let him know what your needs are!
