CARTHAGE — Kenneth Demars, 44, died Sunday, July 8, at his residence on the West Side Road.

He was born in New Haven, Conn., Oct. 13, 1967, the son of Joffre and Ann Marie (Porrello) Demars Sr. and graduated from Lyman High School, Wallingford, Conn., Class of 1985.

Ken was a self-employed flooring installer and was an EMT with MedCare of Mexico, for a time.

He was a member of Blazing Star Lodge 30, AF & AM in Rumford and a Past Master of King Hiram Lodge 57, AF & AM of Dixfield, and a member of the Dixfield Congregational Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his boys.

He was married in Dixfield, Oct. 12, 1996, to the former Lisa Marie Noyes, who survives of Carthage.

Other survivors include his sons, Zachary, Andrew and Nicholas Demars of Carthage; parents, Joffre and Ann Marie Demars Sr. of Wallingford, Conn.; sisters, Roseanne Champagne and husband, John, of Wallingford, Conn., and Michelle Demars and companion, Tom Markiewicz, of Clinton, Conn.; brothers, Joffre Demars Jr. and wife, Carol, of Australia, and Bryan Demars and wife, Teresa, of Wallingford, Conn.; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews; and in-laws, Herbert and Norma Noyes of Dixfield.
