POLAND — One night after dropping a one-sided contest at Andy Valley, Mechanic Falls prevailed Tuesday night at home in the same match-up, rolling to a 12-2 win.
Kurt Johnson was 4-for-4 with two doubles and pitched the first four frames to pick up the win.Andrew Berg and Jed Quint each had two hits for Mechanic Falls  (5-9).
Tyler Hutchinson and Drew Gosselin each smacked a triple and a single for Andy Valley (2-12).
Pastime 12, Brunswick 2
LEWISTON — Pastime broke open a close game in the fifth inning and invoked the 10-run rule to drub Brunswick, 12-2, in Zone 3 American Legion baseball action Tuesday.
Corbin Hyde homered and drove in four runs for Pastime (9-2) Hyde, Luke Cote, Chris Madden and Shawn Ricker had two hits apiece. Joe Sullivan picked up the win by allowing two unearned runs on three hits and two walks while fanning three.
