FREEPORT —  L.L. Bean will hold its third annual Food Festival on Saturday, July 14, featuring well-known Maine chefs and authors. Proceeds will benefit Freeport Community Services.

Attendees will get to sample culinary creations by chefs from local restaurants as well as restaurants in Brunswick, Yarmouth, Lewiston and surrounding towns. There will also be book signings with Maine food writers, specialty Maine food producers, contests, games and more.

Tickets for the food-sampling portion of the event are $10 per adult/children under 8, free. Tickets will be sold on-site the day of the festival, beginning at 10:30 a.m.,(cash only) on a first-come, first-served basis.

The festival will begin at 10 a.m. at Bean’s flagship store on Main Street.
