Boreal Tordu, aka Steve Muise, Andy Buckland, Rob Sylvain and Pip Walter, will perform July 19, as part of the Midsummer Lakeside Concert Series at Bates College in Lewiston. An upbeat quartet with a mission to keep the music of their Acadian heritage alive, Boreal Tordu uses spoons, horseshoes and feet to keep the beat. All concerts in the series are free and at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the Florence Keigwin Amphitheater by Lake Andrews. Listeners are urged to bring a picnic and lawn chairs or blankets. Rain site: the college chapel, 275 College St.
