BATH — Mekae Hyde homered for Pastime Club, triggering a nine-run rally in the top of the fifth inning Tuesday and leading the Lewiston team to a 9-6 Zone 3 American Legion baseball victory over Smith-Tobey.

Corbin Hyde added a two-run double. The huge inning came in the nick of time for Pastime (14-2), which prevailed when the game was called due to impending darkness after the fifth frame.

Chris Madden picked up the pitching win with two innings in relief of Corbin Hyde. Ryan Riordan worked a scoreless fifth to earn the save.

Joe Sullivan had two hits for Pastime.

Losing pitcher Aaron Barrett was a repeat hitter for Smith-Tobey. C.J. Hardin ripped an RBI triple.
