AMES, Iowa — More than 5,465 Iowa State University undergraduates have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list, including Jennifer Elizabeth Smith of Fryeburg, majoring in veterinary medicine.

NEWTON, Mass. — Amanda Coolidge of Bethel, Brandyn Cloutier of Dixfield, Haleigh Traynor of Lewiston and Anna Gamwell of Fryeburg were among 400 students honored for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester at Mount Ida College.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The spring semester dean’s list at Bryant University includes the following area residents.

Rangeley: Matthew Madeira, a senior in finance

Farmington: Harris Roberts, a junior in entrepreneurship

Lewiston: Jill St. Laurent, a junior in marketing

COLCHESTER, Vt. — The following local residents were named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Saint Michael’s College.

Andrew Churchill, son of Donna and Timothy Churchill of Harrison, a sophomore Spanish major, who graduated from Hebron Academy.

Olivia Gregory, daughter of George and Janet Gregory of New Gloucester, a first-year mathematics major, who graduated from The Gunnery.

Lauren McHatten, daughter of Clifford and Lynn McHatten of Winthrop, a sophomore psychology major, who graduated from Winthrop High School.

Mary Taylor, daughter of Donald and Katherine Taylor of Readfield, a sophomore political science major, who graduated from Maranacook Community School.

Ashley Whittemore, daughter of Donald and Katherine Taylor of Readfield, a May graduate sociology and anthropology & global studies major, who graduated from Maranacook Community School.

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island has announced that Kelsey B. Sheehan of Lovell was named to the spring 2012 dean’s list.
