JAY — On Sunday, July 22, Democrats in House District 87 named state Rep. Paul Gilbert, D-Jay, as their nominee for the House of Representatives.
Gilbert had announced he would not run for re-election after candidate Daniel Dipompo announced he intended to seek the seat, but Dipompo has since withdrawn from the race for personal reasons and Gilbert replaces him as the nominee.
A retired state worker, Gilbert serves on committees on labor, commerce, research and economic development.
