Oliver Hall, 11, of Auburn, rear, guides his sailboat through the course with his partner, Luka Baskett, 11, of Auburn during the McGuckian Cup race held at Taylor Pond in Auburn on Monday. The Taylor Pond Yacht Club holds the annual event for sailors ages 14 and under as a qualifier for club representative to the Northeast Sailing Association Midget Championships at the Southport Yacht Club near Boothbay Harbor. The race is named after Taylor Pond Yacht Club founding members Frances and Joseph McGuckian.
