AUBURN — Bonney Starbird, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., F.N.P. and Melanie Siegle have been hired by Central Maine Orthopaedics as their newest perioperative nurses in their ambulatory surgical center on Minot Avenue.

The announcement was made by Resource Manager Janine Valliere.

Starbird has more than 30 years of nursing experience in the Lewiston-Auburn area. She has previously been a charge and staff registered nurse with Central Maine Medical Center, nurse practitioner at Edward Little High School, L-A Internal Medicine and Central Maine Internal Medicine. Most recently, she served as an administrative staff registered nurse with the Central Maine Medical Family.

She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., and received her master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner track from the University of Southern Maine.

She currently resides in Auburn with her husband and son.

Siegle recently graduated from the Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions, and completed an internship with the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Maine, CMMC’s dedicated orthopaedic unit.

A Burlington, Vt., native, she currently resides in Auburn with her husband and daughter.
