STETSON — A couple from Exeter has died following a collision between two pickup trucks in Stetson.

State police say the accident occurred late Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Route 143 and Mount Pleasant Road.

State police trooper Trevor Snow said it appeared the driver of one of the trucks ran a stop sign before the crash.

A husband and wife riding in one of the vehicles were killed. Their names were not immediately released.

The two people who were in the other truck were taken to a hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
