NASHUA, N.H. — Frederick J. Coulombe Jr., 89, of Hollis, N.H., formerly of Maine, died peacefully Wednesday, July 25, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was married to Mrs. Beverly M. (Austin) Coulombe with whom he would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 4.
The son of the late Joseph F. and Marie M. Coulombe Sr. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn, with the class of 1941.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He earned several medals and commendations and he was honorably discharged in April 1946.
He retired in 1978 from Textron in Wilmington; he previously worked at the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham.
He was a member of the Canadian Genealogical Society.
Besides his loving wife, Beverly, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Karen Coulombe of Chelmsford, Mass.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Robert Leavitt of North Chelmsford, Mass., and Judith Coulombe of Sandown, N.H.; two grandchildren, Amy (Leavitt) Thoren and her husband, Matthew, of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Sarah M. Coulombe of Chelmsford and her fiancé, Kevin Beauregard, of Tyngsboro, Mass.; a sister, Lillian M. Levasseur of Glastonbury, Conn.; two nieces; four nephews; and many close family friends.
