FARMINGTON — Franklin County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, in their meeting room at the county courthouse to discuss proposals for architect services for the new dispatch center.
Commissioners interviewed three of six firms that submitted proposals with base and additional costs Friday. The 2,200-square-foot center will be built on county land across from the sheriff’s office on County Way.
The dispatch center is currently in the sheriff’s office.
Town Clerk Julie Magoon was checking references on the architectural firms Monday.
Commissioners are expected to determine which firm to go with Wednesday.
As of July 24, before the interviews, the three commissioners each had a different firm they favored for the job.
The firms being considered are:
* Plymouth Engineering of Plymouth, which proposed a base price of $29,800.
* Port City Architecture of Portland proposed a base price of $39,000.
* Smith Reuter Lull Architects of Lewiston and Bethel proposed $44,000 for the project.
