Enough already. During the past two weeks, I have received at least two dozen phone calls from people saying they were pollsters wanting to get either my opinion or another member of my household’s opinion. They call anywhere from 6 a.m. to almost 10 p.m. at night.

They start asking their questions and they are about gays’ right to marry issue. When I or my household members give our answers, the callers don’t like them and start to get nasty and berating.

We have had to deal with being told we have archaic fundamentalist beliefs, to being called un-Christ-like and homophobic. When we have asked to have our names and numbers removed, it doesn’t happen and the calls keep coming.

What does one have to do to stop those kinds of phone calls?

Everyone is entitled to his opinions/beliefs. Mine are love the sinner, not the sin. Respect all and treat them as if I were hosting angels unaware.

I have friends who are gay and on this topic we have differing opinions and leave it alone — one topic doesn’t make a whole relationship/ friendship, at least not in my world.

The pushy, nasty phone calls are unacceptable and need to stop.
