PORTLAND — Carol Ann Hunnewell, 76, of Windham, passed away on Aug. 1, in Portland.

Carol was born Feb 24, 1936, in Putnam Conn., as the only child of Arthur and Evelyn Brown Pradel. The family moved to Lisbon Falls in 1945. Carol graduated from Lisbon Fall High School in 1956, and worked at the Worumbo mill for several years.

She met and married her husband of 55 years, George Hunnewell, who survives her. She enjoyed caring for people and spent more than 16 years as a CNA. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and the laughter of friends and loved ones.

Also surviving are sons, Geoff and Tim Hunnewell of Windham, Lisa and husband, Mike Kiersted of South Portland, Laura Hunnewell of Gorham and a granddaughter, Jennifer with fiance, Shawn Labbe and their son, Gaven of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and nephews.
