LEWISTON — Robert R. Belanger, 65, formerly of 264 Lincoln St., died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Russell Park Rehabilitation Center, where he resided for the past six years.

He was born in Lewiston, Oct. 21, 1946, a son of the late Willie and Yvette Cloutier Belanger, he was educated in Lewiston schools. He was married to the former Joanne Richer, who died Dec. 8, 1995.

Bob was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and a former member of St. Mary’s Parish, where he served as custodian, Pastime Club and the 20 MClub. He also worked as a custodian at the Auburn Mall.

He is survived by his daughters, Christine Dodge of Turner and companion Leo Soucy and Denise Morin and husband, Tim, of Lisbon; a granddaughter, Crystal Solomon and husband, Ken Solomon; grandsons, Zachery Morin and Luke Soucy; great-grandson, Gabriel Solomon; and his best friend, Toni Tardif of Russell Park.
