MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Timothy Daniel Case, 44, of Middletown, N.Y., formerly of Maine, passed away on Saturday, July 28.
Timothy was born in Lewiston, Dec. 31, 1967. Taught by his father, he jogged his first horse at age 6. He went on to become an excellent and renowned race horse trainer all across the U.S.
In his career, he trained more than 1,700 winners with a purse worth more than $9.5 million. In his most successful season, 2007, horses trained by Timothy earned nearly $2 million. In New York, Timothy was the leading horse trainer at Yonkers Raceway for three seasons from 2003 to 2005.
Beloved husband of Dolores Domenique Basilone-Case; devoted son of Carol (Meira) Case and the late Walter H. Case; loving brother of Walter Case (Luann), Steven Case and Kelly Case-Ingraham (David); Timothy is also survived by his loving mother-in-law and dear friend, C.C. Pecora; his father-in-law, Sal Basilone; aunt, Kathy Aube and family; good friend and lifelong supporter, Steve Ralph and family; many nieces and nephews; and his 2 faithful dogs, Xavier and Jeremy.
