While most people are still sleeping, state Sen. Margaret Craven of Lewiston is running around Bates College every day in the early morning hours. For years, she has used her running abilities to help raise money for worthy causes, such as Emily’s Run, the Museum L/A run and the Dempsey Challenge.

I asked her about her running and she said it helps her think and come up with solutions to issues happening in Augusta, and how she can help the people she represents in Lewiston. She has told me that she has been running for exercise for the past 30 years. She is committed to fitness and wellness.

Sen. Margaret Craven is running for re-election on Nov. 6. She is needed back in Augusta.

This couch potato will be voting for Craven on Nov. 6.
