AUBURN — Alphee Pratte, 88, of Goffee Street, Lewiston, died on Thursday, Aug. 2, at Clover Health Care with family by his side.

He was born in Notre Dame Des Bois, P.Q., Canada, Dec. 31, 1923, the son of the late Cleophase and Odiana (Roberge) Pratte.

On Oct. 28, 1945, he married his wife, Irene Boudreau. Together they had four children and in March 1954, they moved to Maine.

Alphee worked as a lumberman all his life, working for many years with his son, Jean by his side before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Irene Pratte; his four children, Camille Laliberte and her husband, Michael, Solange Pepin and her husband, Richard, Bibianne Laliberte and her husband, Marcel and Jean Pierre Pratte and his wife, Patti; three sisters, Laurette Duquette, Leose Ducharme and Florianne Deschene; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Leonidas Pratte.
