FARMINGTON — Edmee “Mimi” Frechette, 83, of Jay, died early Friday, Aug. 3, at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare in Farmington.

She was born on Jan. 27, 1929, in Jay, a daughter of Marcel and Celina (Legere) Henry and was educated in Jay schools.

On Oct. 23, 1948, she married John Frechette. He died on Aug. 21, 1978.

Mimi worked at Livermore Shoe Co. and later at G.H. Bass, retiring in 1991.

She was a lifelong communicant of St. Rose of Lima in Jay and was a past

eucharistic minister and member of the Daughters of Isabella. She also volunteered at the Parkview Nursing Home in Livermore Falls.

She enjoyed crocheting and other crafts, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walking and working in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed lunch with friends and trips with the Senior Citizens.

Mimi is survived by her three children, Donald Frechette of Turner, Barbara

Allaire of Jay and Joyce LaBrecque and her husband, Mike, of Livermore Falls; four grandchildren, Noah and Lacy Frechette, Cody Dunham and Jason LaBrecque and his wife, Rachel; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Frechette, Kai and Camron LaBrecque; siblings, Raymond Henry of Livermore, Patrick Henry and his wife, Theresa, of Augusta, Lourette Poulin of Farmington and Pete Henry and his wife, Elaine, of Jay.

She was predeceased by siblings, Rose LaBlanc, Elise Langlois, Fidel Henry; and infant brother, Francis Henry.
