LEWISTON — The Colwell Brothers will fill Fountain Park at the Bates Mill with their original blues and R & B music at noon Thursday, Aug. 9, as part of L/A Arts’ free summer concert series.
Making up the high-energy duo are Pat Colwell, former speaker of the Maine House of Representatives, who rips it up on guitar and vocals; and Bob Colwell, known for his New Orleans-flavored piano work and vocals.
With a combined total of more than 50 years in the music business, the siblings have worked with such brands as Boneheads, Soul Sensations, the Radiators and Inspectors. They have opened for BB King, NRBQ, CCR, Rick Danko and Roseanne Cash.
