LEWISTON – Lucille D. Marcoux of 78 Charles St., Lewiston, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston, she was the daughter of Darius and Emelia Vachon Marcoux. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School and attended the Auburn School of Commerce.
She was employed by B. Peck and Company, was an assistant store manager for the Central Maine Power Appliance Store until it closed and then worked as an account representative for Central Maine Power, retiring after 37 years.
A member of Holy Family Church, St. Mary Cadet Majorettes, Canadian American Association, Beta Sigma Phi Exemplar Chapter and Lewiston Senior Citizens, she was an accomplished singer and musician and performed as a soloist on WCOU Radio and several church choirs. She was a member of Magic Pop Chorus, Magic and Co., St. Mary’s Choir, Holy Family Choir and Sts. Peter & Paul Basilica Choir. She enjoyed her time with her friends and loved to travel.
She is survived by a cousin, Jacqueline Lajoie.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Constance Goulet and Henrietta Marcoux.
