AUBURN — Therese R. Ouellette, 86, of Meadowview Park in Lewiston, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, surrounded by her family, at Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, due to Lymphoma and complications of declining health.
She was born Marie Rose Therese Drouin on July 23, 1926, the daughter of Zepherin Drouin (former fire chief of Lewiston) and Rose Marie Dufour Drouin. She was one of seven children.
Therese married Paul Emile Ouellette on Sept. 3, 1947. Her husband preceded her in death in 1981.
Therese loved her family and enjoyed nothing more than being in the presence of her children and grandchildren. She loved all of her extended family as well. She was always upbeat and happy and was loved by many. In her later years, she enjoyed conversing with her neighbors and developed many friendships.
She is survived by three sons, Paul and wife, Laura, of New Sharon, Andre and wife, Nancy, of Biddeford, and Daniel and wife, Rachelle, of Lewiston; two daughters, Mariette Bulger of Brunswick and Valerie Ouellette and life partner, Richard Galgovitch, of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Claire Cote of Cumberland, R.I.; and Paul Morin, a close family friend she called her adopted son. She leaves 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Geraldine Moody and Jacqueline Provencher; and three brothers, Thomas Drouin, Robert Drouin and Marcel Drouin.
