PARIS — Crepes will be prepared to order at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, as part of the French movie series offered by Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School students studying French.

Anne Smith, head of the school’s language department, will give a demonstration on crepe-making next to the school cafeteria. Afterward, audience members may enjoy a warm crepe with a selection of fillings, including homemade jams and Nutella.

The award-winning French film to be shown at the school has English subtitles. It is one of many that have been shown on Tuesdays, courtesy of the students who are planning a trip to France next spring.

Desserts, many of them international favorites, are served each week. There is a small fee for the desserts, and participants may give a donation for the film.

The next film, about Americans in Paris, is in English and will be shown outdoors at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 at Moore Park. Viewers may show up early with a blanket and picnic; homemade international desserts will be sold. For more information, call 890-4796.
