TOGUS — Robert S. Weston, 66, of Minot Avenue, Auburn, and formerly of Rumford, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at the VA Maine Healthcare, Togus.

He was born in Rumford on  May 16, 1946, the son of Frank and Muriel (Moores) Weston, and had attended schools in Rumford and Dixfield. He served with the U.S. Air Force.

Robert was a well-known chef in the area and owned and operated Weston’s Catering and the Bob-In Restaurant in Rumford for many years, until retirement. Bob was married in Rumford on May 21, 1988, to Joyce Jacques, who died in Rumford on June 26, 2002.

Survivors include brothers, Larry Weston and wife, Lois of Vancouver, Wash., Richard Weston and wife, Rita of Windsor Locks, Conn. and Norman Weston and wife, Gail of Rumford; stepsons, Corey Jacques of Auburn and Craig Jacques of Rumford; and many nieces and nephews.
