Colleen Quint understands and appreciates the beauty and the richness of the hills and ponds, small towns and working farms that are western Maine.

She has positive feelings about this state and its people, feelings that enable her to see opportunities for all of us and discuss them in a positive manner.

She understands the importance of community — neighbors, friends, families — working together to help one another.

Her service in the state Senate would bring to that body a voice for thoughtful and civil discussion, fair decisions and accountability. It would eliminate a voice that’s merely an echo of Gov. Paul LePage’s relentless negativity, incivility, ideology and embarrassment.

I’m supporting Colleen Quint for Maine state Senate seat District 17, and I fervently hope other folks in Livermore Falls, Livermore, Leeds, Turner, Greene, Wales, Sabattus, Lisbon, Minot and Mechanic Falls will also. She would be a real breath of fresh air.

Kenneth L. Roberts, Turner
