NORWAY — The staff and Board of Trustees of Norway Memorial Library are inviting the public to an open house reception for Children’s Services Coordinator Anna Gordon on Tuesday.
Gordon, who is resigning to accept a new job in New York, will be feted in the Norway Memorial Library on Aug. 21 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Library Director Beth Kane said Gordon will leave on Aug. 22 for a new job as youth services librarian at the Moffat Library in Washingtonville, N.Y. She will be overseeing services to children and teens.
Gordon has been a Norway Memorial Library staff member for just over two years and during that time has presented an energetic, creative and diverse program for the children and their families, Kane said.
“She will be missed,” Kane said. “Her knowledge, talents and enthusiasm combine to make her a particularly good fit here in the library and will serve her well as she continues her career. Plus she is so pleasant to be around. She has been a great addition to the library staff and to the community”
