LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating weekend vandalism at the football and baseball fields at Spruce Mountain High School South Campus and to windows at the closed middle school.

A vehicle was driven down the hill at the high school onto the football field, drove in circles on it and broke a wooden post. It next was driven onto the adjacent baseball field, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

The vehicle did many circles on the baseball field in the infield and gravel portion before driving up the steep hill to the high school driveway.

It was also reported Monday that two windows in the back of the middle school were broken out with rocks.

RSU 73 Director of Transportation and Maintenance Ken Vining said it is going to take some seed and loam to fix the fields.

Two windows also have to be replaced at the middle school, he said.
