The guild is a nonprofit organization that supports the Bridgton Hospital with philanthropic endeavors that include the Twitchell Café, located on the hospital campus, and the Thrift Shop, located on Main Street, adjacent to Reny’s.

Each year at the annual meeting, the guild presents a check to Bridgton Hospital to purchase medical equipment that the hospital has identified as urgently needed. In 2011, the guild presented its largest annual gift, $42,000, which was used for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment for the expanded Swing Bed Rehabilitation area on the inpatient unit.

New members are always encouraged. Membership applications are available at the Twitchell Café or Thrift Shop or by going to www.bridgtonhospital.org.
