Yard sale benefits animals
DIXFIELD — The River Valley Animal Advocates will hold their annual yard sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18 and 19, at the corner of Weld Street and North Street.
Proceeds benefit the 2012 spay/neuter and rabies shots program for area cats. Rain dates would be Aug. 25 and 26.

Child ID program Aug. 19
DIXFIELD — A free Child Identification Program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Ludden Memorial Library Meeting Room on the lower level.
The program is designed to identify children from newborn to 18 years of age. Parents will receive photos, fingerprints, a DNA sample, a complete biographical description and a short video showing mannerisms of their child. In the event a child goes missing, this information can be turned over to authorities.

Supper for injured man
PARIS — Harry Hutchinson of Andover, a volunteer driver for Community Concepts, was in a car accident on June 29. He is uninsured and his injuries left him unable to work or volunteer.
A benefit supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Paris Fire Station, 137 Western Ave. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and homemade desserts. Cost will be $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors.
