AUBURN — Local vocalist and guitar player Nick Racioppi will perform from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Festival Plaza, weather-permitting. Racioppi is well known as a member of the Auburn-based The Repeat Offenders band. As a soloist and composer, he favors a rock/reggae style. Many of his original songs reflect peace, love, positivity and his interest in the Civil War.

Racioppi was voted one of the Top 3 performers at the “Maine’s Got Talent” show held in Lewiston this past spring. Wednesday’s one-hour performance precedes the weekly summer concert presented by the Auburn Community Concert Band.

Starting at 7 p.m., the 45-member ACCB will present “Take Two!” — a 75-minute program featuring at least one audience favorite from each of this summer’s nine previous performances.

The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair. If it rains, the band concert only will be moved into the ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn at Great Falls Plaza. For more information, call the Auburn Recreation Department at 333-6601, ext. 2108, or visit www.auburncommunityband.com.
