ORONO — John Wolanski, University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation president, announced the fall scholarship recipients at a recent luncheon and tour hosted by Verso Paper Corporation’s Androscoggin Mill in Jay.

Twenty students will receive full-tuition scholarships to study engineering at the University of Maine. Local students include: Casey Pomerleau from Leavitt High School in Turner and Alexi Deering from Spruce Mountain High School in Jay.

The foundation currently supports 83 students with full-tuition scholarships.
