AUBURN — Jameson H. Goughnour, 68, a resident of Andover and formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Hospice House with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 10, 1944, in Lewiston, the son of Gloria Castonguay Goughnour and attended Lewiston schools. He was a 1963 graduate of Lewiston High School.

Following his education, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He later served as a Marine recruiter in Lewiston. Following his military career, he was employed for L&A Tire, Twin City Fruit and Produce, as well as the local shoe industry.

Jim was an avid Boston sports fan, was very proud of all his family and friends, and loved the “Golden Oldies.” He was an also member of the ACME Club in Lewiston.

Survivors include one son, Michael Goughnour and wife, Janet, of Lewiston; one daughter, Eileen Lord of Minot; one sister, Joan Rand and husband, Maynard, of Sabattus; one granddaughter, Tayler Mosher; and also Jim’s companion, Lorraine Marston, of Andover; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria; a brother, Thomas; a sister, June Therriault; and a nephew, Scott Morin.
