LEWISTON — Ronald R. Rioux, 64, of Lisbon Falls, died Monday, Aug. 13, at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Lewiston, Feb. 13, 1948, the son of Robert L. Rioux and Rachel Turcotte.

He grew up in the Lewiston-Auburn area, where he attended Bishop Healy’s Orphanage and Camp Don Bosco in Fayette. He graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1966, and attended both the former Auburn Maine School of Commerce and the University of Southern Maine.

Later, he made his home in Lisbon Falls, where he married Sandra Sidelinger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the U.S. and abroad. He had a strong interest in antiques, old books and collectibles. He was an avid genealogist.

He is survived by his son, Randal Rioux of Columbia, Md.; a brother, Normand L. Rioux and his wife, Tina, of Livermore; a sister, Fernande G. Champagne of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother and father; and a brother, Raymond Champagne.
