On Saturday, Mitt Romney announced his pick for running mate in a moving ceremony destined to be part of history. Paul Ryan was beaming, as he should be. Being offered the vice presidential slot is a rare honor. The two make a perfect pair, drawing a clear distinction between the opposing team of Obama-Biden.
In praying for guidance on life’s path, I often ask God to paint me a picture so I will know what is expected of me.
Well, I woke at 4 a.m. Monday and the first picture I saw was a giant celebration going on. It appeared to be a large field, like a high school football field.
In this picture, it was the evening of Nov. 6, 2012 and the people were celebrating a landslide victory by President Barack Hussein Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
In the election of 2012, the people of America will turn out in record numbers to affirm their faith in the democratic system of government. They will make a decision to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps to make America all that it can be, one more time.
We owe this opportunity to our Founding Fathers who decided, in their collective wisdom, that every four years the governed should have the opportunity to continue with its leadership or start on a new path.
All should be congratulated; the Founding Fathers for their wisdom, Romney-Ryan for their partnership, the American people for the turnout, and Obama-Biden for their victory.
