SABATTUS — The Sabattus Knights of Columbus 13181 will host its second annual fishing derby from midnight to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Long Beach, Route 126.
The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children 15 and under. Proceeds of the derby will benefit the council’s high school scholarship fund.
Cash prizes between $50 and $200 will be awarded for largest bass, pike, white perch and yellow perch. One person can win multiple prizes and participants do not need to be present to win.
Tickets can be purchased at Steven’s Hardware, Oak Hill Cash Market, Main Street Market, all in Sabattus, Stone’s Bait & Tackle in Lewiston, and at the weigh station at Long Beach the day of the derby. Tickets are available only until noon Aug. 25.
