RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1957 will hold their 55th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 49 Franklin St.
The social will start at 5 p.m. A hot buffet will start at 6 p.m.
Meetings have been held all year long at Rachel Auger’s home.

Walk for children’s cancer
RUMFORD — A Maine Children’s Cancer Program walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Hosmer Field Complex.
This year Dick Welch will be honored for everything he has done for MCCP in memory of the children who have lost their fight to cancer and in honor of those who are still fighting the battle or have beat it.

Harvest Fest seeks foodies
BETHEL — Growers, educators, producers and local foodies who would like to be a vendor or have an informational table at the Bethel Harvest Fest on Sept. 15 should contact the Bethel Chamber ASAP at 824-2282.
To encourage folks involved in local foods in the community to participate in the celebration of the harvest, the Chamber is waiving the vendor fee for growers, producers and educators; participants are asked instead to make a donation at the end of the festival.

Blazing Star harvest supper
RUMFORD — A Harvest Supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner. A second seating will take place at 6 p.m. if needed.
Menu will be potato, corned beef, ham, cabbage, beets, carrots, turnip, bread, coffee, punch and pie, served family style. Adults $10, under 12 $5. Take outs available.

Class of 2013 plans car show
DIXFIELD — The Dirigo High School Car Show, put on by and to benefit the Dirigo High School Class of 2013, will take place Sunday, Sept. 2, rain or shine, at Harlow Park, Weld Street.
Show registration is 8 a.m. Cost is $5 to enter a vehicle. Admission $2.
Voting starts at noon. Awards will take place at 2 p.m. or sooner.
There will be music, concessions and a 50/50 raffle.
First-, second- and third-place trophies will be awarded in the following classes: Antiques pre-40s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to present, 4×4 trucks, 2×4 trucks, foreign, Corvettes, street rods, students, people’s choice and motorcycles.
