At first we thought the path that was visible at the edge of the hayfield was made by deer or turkeys, but when it was time to mow the hay, we found a circle about 8 feet in diameter of matted down hay out in the middle of the field.
The circle was found as the mower machine passed over the seven beer cans that were left there. The beer cans were shredded.
If that wasn’t bad enough, someone had thrown a rum bottle out into the middle of the tall hay, where it was crushed by farm equipment.
So this farmer lost the hay in a 7-foot diameter and two 4-foot high round bales of hay that we’re pretty sure have broken glass inside.
I do hope whoever was responsible had a massive hangover because that little crop circle cost us.
