Ben Houser, the noted baseball player, who is the first baseman on the Boston Braves of the National League, has purchased a farm not far from Lewiston and will make it his winter home. It is the Edward Moore farm, Litchfield, and it is a story and a half house with nearly one hundred acres of land. It is beautifully located, the frontage being on Tacoma Lake. Early in October, at the end of the baseball season, Mr. and Mrs. Houser will come directly to Maine and will remain at the farm until the opening of spring practice. Mrs. Houser is well known in Lewiston, as she was formerly Miss Gladys Guptil of this city.
