Theatre workshop at Norway Church

NORWAY — Children’s Musical Theatre Workshop is being offered this fall at the Second Congregational Church of Norway. The musical “It’s Saturday!” by Mac Huff and John Jacobson explores the day off in the life of a kid.

From watching cartoons to piano lessons, from football practice to chores, the children will look at all their options through skits and songs. The results will be performed as a musical review for the public on a Saturday afternoon later in the season.

This workshop is available to all interested children in grades K through 6. Registration is Saturday, Sept. 8, in the church music room at 9 a.m. This program is presented by Music Director Shirli Allen and is free to all participants.

Sunday School registration

RAYMOND — Rally Day will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Raymond Village Community Church.This is the day to register for Sunday School for 2012-13. An added bonus for the day will be a final session of “Shake it Up Cafe,” the church’s summer program.

The Sunday School program is a rotation model covering six lessons from the Old and New Testaments. RVCC is an open and welcoming church and all children are invited to attend. The structured Sunday School program is intended for children entering grades 1-4.

There is a separate program for children in grades 5-8 which will be focused on service and this group will have a variety of meeting venues. Nursery and preschool care are also provided. All children and their families are encouraged to attend Rally Day.
