After reading the accounts of the dispute between Maine and Canadian lobstermen in recent issues of the Sun Journal, I wondered why someone hasn’t considered building more processing plants in Washington County?
That seems to me to be a two-fold solution — much needed jobs in that area and more money left here in the state, not to mention helping our hard-working lobster fishermen.
Then, in the Aug. 16 Sun Journal, on page B6, was a story about a Maine man who is going to do just that.
What a great feeling it gave me to know something can be done to help Mainers, and by a Mainer, to boot.
Bless Kyle Murdock for his vision and good luck in his venture. May this start a trend to inspire others to invest and invigorate our great state of Maine.
