BOLINGBROOK, Ill.— Ann M. Walton, formerly of Sabattus, passed away on Aug. 23, in Bolingbrook, Ill. She was born in Platteville, Wis., on March 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Howell. She married the late William J. Walton, Jr. on May 25, 1968. Ann was a nurse for 50 years and retired in 2003. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Sabattus, Daughters of the Nile, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, and the Jacques Cartier Club.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Veronica Radowicz of Illinois; her stepdaughters, Pauline Walton-Flath of California and Doreen (Bruce) Manke of Derry, N.H.; and a stepson, Paul (Rosalie) Walton of Florida; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Ethel Horner of Indiana; her brother, Jerry Howell of Wisconsin; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia McCullough of Rumford and Doris (Anthony) Albert of Lewiston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Harry Howell; her husband, William; her brothers, Richard, Wilson, and Carl Howell; her sister Betty Maiden; and her granddaughter, Denison (Walton) Smrstick.
