FARMINGTON — It’s back to work in Farmington for Leanne Pinkham who returned to her former position as town clerk Monday.

After 13 years as town clerk here, Pinkham worked her last day Aug. 10 and left to take a position as manager of the town of Bradford near Bangor.

“It wasn’t the job I was hired for,” she said Monday of her return to Farmington. “It had changed and wasn’t what I anticipated.”

Under Farmington’s personnel policy, the town manager is allowed to rehire within six months at the same pay grade and with no loss of seniority.

“We know Leanne and are very familiar with the quality of her work and her professionalism. In addition, she requires no training to hit the ground running,” Town Manager Richard Davis said of her return.

Pinkham has worked in municipal government for more than two decades. She has been a town clerk since the age of 19, winner her first election in Anson.
