LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — Leonard Juul Merrill, 74, died Aug. 15.

He was born in Auburn, Oct. 4, 1937, the son of Albert E. and Margaret (Juul) Merrill. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School, University of Maine at Orono and Penn State.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Johnston); children, Albert and wife, Jane Merrill, of South Carolina, Ernest Merrill of Georgia, and Emily Merrill and husband, Mark Ottensmeyer, of Massachusetts; two granddaughters, Leslie Juul Merrill and Rebecca Merrill, both of South Carolina; and two sisters, Dorothy Leclair of Auburn and Mavis and David Pomeroy of Detroit.
