LIVERMORE FALLS — A tractor-trailer truck hit the corner of Foss Jewelry Store and damaged a stop sign Friday noon at Main and Church streets.

The truck from P.E. Thompson Trucking Inc. of Harrison, driven by Paul Thompson, attempted the turn from Church Street to Main Street and the rig hit the corner of the jewelry building and took out the stop sign, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said

The truck was believed to have come down Route 133 to re-connect with Route 4, he said.

The amount of damage to the building was unavailable.
