PARIS — The McAlister/McAllister Family Reunion was held Aug. 12 at the First Baptist Church of Paris on Paris Hill. There were 59 who signed the register.
Glendon McAlister of Rhode Island at age 86 got the prize for being the oldest one there. Lilly Giroux got the prize for being the youngest at 4 years old. Robert Lagueux was sitting in the chair that had a sticker under it, so he also got a prize.
New officers were elected as follows: president and secretary, Dawn Tucker of Rhode Island; treasurer, Guy McAlister Jr. of South Paris; vice president, Marjorie McAlister of Rhode Island; trustees, Guy McAlister III of South Paris, Steven McAlister of Norway, Brenda Woods of Norway, Fr. Don McAllister of Dover, N.H., honorary trustee, plus the current officers.
The beautiful reunion cake was cut and served by Elaine Lagueux, granddaughter of Maybelle McAlister-Barker. The 50/50 cash drawing went to Cindy Giroux. The next reunion will be held in 2014, location to be announced at a later date. Much credit is given to our out-going president, Donald Fair, who has held office since 2004.
