DIXFIELD — Candance J. Hines, 66, of Dixfield, died Monday, Aug. 27, at her home.
She was born in Natick, Mass., Aug. 22, 1946, the daughter of George and Lois J. Rhodes Evans. She graduated from Monmouth Academy with her friend of many years, Sue Levasseur and attended Bliss College from 1963 to 1965, with her best friend of many years, Miriam Wheeler.
She had been employed at Central Maine Medical Center as a medical secretary. She loved her grandchildren very much. She also loved animals and living in farm country.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Hines of Dixfield; two sons, Charles Andrew Hines and Nathan Zachary Hines, both of East Dixfield; grandchildren, Will Stuart Hines and Ella Jayne Hines; a brother, George Thomas Hines of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Nancy Evans of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sarah Sullivan of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
