WESTBROOK — The Manufacturers Association of Maine awarded 25 scholarship totaling $11,750 to students who will attend Maine colleges this fall. Areas of study include precision machining technology, marine systems engineering, integrated manufacturing technology and mechanical engineering. All students received $250, $500 or $750 awards.

Local 2012 MAMe scholarship recipients are Matthew Langlin of Livermore, Central Maine Community College, precision machining; and Heath Strange of Lovell, Southern Maine Community College, integrated machining technology.

“The Manufacturers Association of Maine proudly supports these students as they embark on their areas of study this fall,” said MAMe Executive Director Lisa G. Martin. “These recipients are Maine’s next generation of manufacturing leaders.”
