LEWISTON — Perley J. Beaulieu Jr., 74, of 24 Irwin St., Lewiston, died Friday, Aug. 31, at Marshwood Health Care Facility, following a long illness.
He was born in Frenchville, Jan. 22, 1938, the son of the late Perley J. Sr. and Sadie Dubois Beaulieu Voisine and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He was educated at St. Mary’s School. He then served with the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years. He was employed in the sheet metal industry with local Union 545 for 14 years and with N.C. Rainville for 17 years. He also belonged to local Union 40 in Connecticut. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and a member of the Gypsy Club.Perley enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, woodworking, crafts, carpentry, playing cribbage, helping people, loved his family and his cat, Oreo.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Therriault of Sabattus; three grandchildren, Randy Therriault and Tiffany and Jessica Beaulieu; his longtime companion, Ginette Gagnon of Lewiston and her children, Michael Gagnon and his wife, ReNae of Greene, Diane Corniel and her husband, Nelson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Brenda Bumps and her husband, Scott of Hebron; and their children, Addison and Emilia Gagnon and Ryan and Katelynn Corniel; three sisters, Marcella Deschaine and her husband, Harold of Connecticut, Rena Barnett and her husband, Ken of Lewiston and Nancy Voisine and her companion, Howard Palmer of Lewiston; four brothers, Bob Voisine and his wife, Penney of Florida, Bert Voisine and his wife, Gloria of Monmouth, Raymond Voisine and his wife, Joyce of Sabattus and Ronnie Voisine of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Steven Beaulieu; his sisters, Pearl, Violet and Annabelle; and a brother, Nelson.
