FARMINGTON — Dorothy Irene Remick, 80, of Farmington passed away Friday, Aug. 31, at the Sandy River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Weld, the daughter of Raymond R. and Lottie B. (Berry) White Sr. She was educated in the schools of Dixfield. Dorothy enjoyed anything she could do with her family especially holidays, cookouts, going to Dummer’s Beach, and eating french fries. She loved smiles, laughter, music, word puzzles and giving in any way she could. She simply loved life.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Martella A. Lakin and her husband, Frank Sr., of Salem and Bonny Remick of North Jay; sons, Keith Cook and his wife, Carol-Jean, of Norway, Kenneth Cook of Farmington and Martell Remick Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of North Jay; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Skidgell and her husband, Rolland, of Carthage; brothers, Raymond White Jr. of New York, Stanley White and his wife, Avilla, of Florida, Lawrence White of Pennsylvania, and Wilfred White and his wife, Sylvia, of Bath; many nieces and nephews; and her angel Harland “Spike” Kidder.

She was predeceased by her husband, Martell M. Remick Sr.; a son, Barry-Wayne Cook; a grandson, Richard B. Lakin; and sisters-in-law, Rose and Maria.
